Occupy Lake Worth October 8, 2011 at Bryant Park
I noticed this event posted on a friends Facebook page and it sounded to me like something that should have happened about 10 years ago.
Let me begin by saying that other than one local newspaper being there at the beginning, the mainstream media did not even show up until much later in the event.
The day began with a few interviews by our staff, and then progressed to where people were split up into smaller groups with focused problems being discussed.
Throughout the day I heard many different ideas being expressed by many different people. As this was an organizational meeting, it appeared from this writers point of view. the event was quite a success.
As far as attendance was concerned, according to the Facebook page I visited, there would be about 18-20 people present. I think the crowd of well over 200 was quite a pleasant surprise to the organizers. This group will grow with each meeting and it our hope at Nitros Digital to be able to be a big part of promoting this cause.
